"Unbeatable Lawn Care in Doraville, Georgia"
Our Doraville lawn care program consists of seven treatments throughout the
year to control weeds and make your lawn greener, healthier and thicker.
Each program is custom designed for your landscape, specifically for the type
of grass you have. We use top-of-the-line fertilizers and weed controls and
our technicians are all formally trained so they do the job right.
We're very pleased
Arbornomics provides us with reasonable yard treatement (chemical spraying)
at a good price and a reliable schedule. Their customer service has always
been outstanding and they came out to re-spray following a rainstorm without
any complaint. My yard has looked pretty dismal this winter (although we need
to aerate/overseed) but it was resplendant last spring when we started with
them. I would recommend them.
The cost of our Doraville lawn care program is determined by the size
of your lawn. There are no written contracts and you can stop service at any
time. Arbor-Nomics provides service calls in between regular applications at
no cost to you for reasons such as recurrent weeds, fertility problems, and
insect problems. Service calls that are an additional charge include fungicide
treatments, grub and mole control, and aeration/seeding.
You can choose to purchase only our lawn care program or you can get 20%
off your first tree and shrub treatment by purchasing our lawn, tree and shrub
program. (This offer good only for new Arbor-Nomics customers who have not
had service with us in the past 18 months. Not good with any other offer.) Please
see "Top Notch Tree/Shrub
Care" for more information on our tree and shrub program.
We also offer additional services separate from our basic programs. Please
see "Additional
Services" for more information.

Trees & Shrubs & Bugs, Oh My!
Did you know that here, in Doraville and the surrounding Atlanta area, your
trees and shrubs are susceptible to a wide variety of insects and diseases like
aphids, spider mites, lace bugs, and leaf spot? Any of these could severely
damage or even kill your favorite trees and shrubs. If you are not already a
tree and shrub program customer, give us a call at 770-447-6037,,
and well inspect your trees and shrubs for free and provide you with a
recommended treatment plan and estimate. Your trees and shrubs deserve to be
bug and disease free.
In the meantime, here are photos and descriptions of two common tree and shrub
insects in Atlanta.
Aphids
Adults may be winged or wingless. The size of most mature aphid species varies
from 1/16 to 1/8 inch long. The body is oval to pear-shaped with two tube-like
cornicles on the abdomen. Colors are usually green, yellow, orange, red, black,
or white.
In spring, look at new growth for curled, discolored leaves. Aphids typically
cluster on the top side of curled leaves, where white shed skins may be seen
more easily than the aphids themselves. In summer, light-colored aphids feed
on veins on the lower surface of mature leaves. Look for honeydew and sooty
mold. If these are present, but aphids
are not on the leaves, examine the bark for darkcolored aphids.
Azalea Lace Bugs
Adults are 1/8 inch long. The transparent wings are held flat on the back.
Their wings are lacy with two grayish-brown cross-bands connected in the middle.
Nymphs are mostly black and spiny. The flask-shaped eggs are partially embedded
in leaf tissue and often are covered with a black tar-like secretion. Lace bug
adults and nymphs live and feed on the underside of leaves.
