Day-to-Day Activities

As an Arbor-Nomics mechanic/technician, you will test lawncare rigs for technicians to ensure they are safe for travel. We will provide you with a checklist of work that must be completed for every job. You’ll be responsible for performing regularly scheduled maintenance, conducting repairs, and replacing any necessary components on our vehicles. As needed, you’ll complete administrative paperwork on documented repairs. You’ll also need experience to accurately estimate time and cost of repairs.

What We Need From You

High school or equivalent.

1 to 3 years of experience or training as a mechanic.

A valid driver’s license. 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 

Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. 

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.

Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Real Green.

Ability to compute common math such as add, subtract, and divide all units of measure. 

Must be able to calculate rate, ratio, and percentage, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
